Jackie Robinson Tennis Courts:

Through HQ Tennis Foundation, Coach Ferdinand led and facilitated community-centered programs serving Bedford-Stuyvesant residents, particularly those near Jackie Robinson Playground—including Fulton Park Plaza with over 280 apartments, Brevoort Houses with nearly 900 apartments, and surrounding neighborhood homeowners and merchants.

HQ Tennis Foundation advocated for and coordinated with city, private, and community partners to renovate and thoughtfully redesign the four tennis courts at Jackie Robinson Playground. Through alliances with the USTA, the courts were upgraded to meet official tournament specifications, providing local youth with opportunities to participate in sanctioned competitions and fostering both athletic development and community engagement.

And now find Brooklyn’s first purple tennis courts at Jackie Robinson Playground.

HQ Tennis Foundation, is a  non-profit 501(c)3 organization with three primary initiatives: The Juniors, The Community, and The Courts. Coach Frances Nadine Ferdinand, the founder of HQ Tennis Foundation, is committed to creating opportunities and pathways to community enrichment, by hosting programs and fundraisers, offering private and group lessons, and acting as a community liaison with the city to voices concerns and make suggestions held by the community. Ferdinand would like to build a community of members who will assist in these endeavors. Together,  Linden Park courts will be an even greater place to play!

Thank you so much for supporting HQ Tennis Foundation and helping our community fall in love with Tennis.
